Nabors Cemetery was established on October 15, 1868, with the burial of Elizabeth “Betsy” Nabors. Her husband, John, followed her in death only fifteen days later, and they are buried side by side. Many local pioneer families chose this hallowed ground for their departed loved ones, and the cemetery is listed in the Alabama Historic Cemetery Register.
