Ferry Beach State Park is a one hundred seventeen-acre public recreation area on Saco Bay in Saco, Maine, just north of the mouth of the Saco River. It includes a sandy Atlantic beach, inland hiking trails, and a nature center, combining coastal scenery with a distinctive interior landscape. The park is particularly known for its pocket swamp and for tupelo trees growing there at the northern limit of the species' range. Managed by the Maine Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry, it serves both coastal recreation and the preservation of an unusual natural habitat.
