Collier Memorial State Park in southern Oregon combines recreation with one of the world’s largest collections of logging equipment. Established in 1945 after Alfred and Andrew Collier donated the land in memory of their parents, it grew when the brothers added antique machinery and logging artifacts two years later. Along the Williamson River, the park’s outdoor museum follows the timber industry from hand tools and oxen to diesel tractors, trucks, and major industrial machines, while relocated camp structures and pioneer homesteads show how logging families lived. The park also offers camping, hiking, fishing, picnicking, and equestrian access in a forest setting.
