Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
History

On April 19, 1995, Oklahoma City was the site of the deadliest act of domestic terrorism in United States history, an act of hate meant to breed chaos, fear, and distrust. Instead, it was met with an outpouring of love, unity, and resilience. The Oklahoma City National Memorial and Museum stand as a testament to those who were changed forever that day and as a tribute to the response that followed, including a spirit of service, honor, and kindness that came to be known as the Oklahoma Standard.
