The Liberty Bell
Military
Cast by the Whitechapel Bell Foundry in London, England, the same company that cast the original, this bell is an exact duplicate of the original Liberty Bell that arrived in America in 1753. Made of tin and copper, with an African Teak headstock, it weighs approximately 2,700 pounds, measures 47 inches in diameter, and stands 45 inches tall. Bearing the inscription, "Proclaim liberty throughout all the land unto all the inhabitants thereof," it honors the City of Liberty, which was founded by veterans of the Revolution, and serves as a tribute to them and to all who followed as citizens of Liberty.
