Golconda Marina State Recreation Area is a state park in southern Illinois in Pope County, centered on the Golconda marina. Covering 274 acres in the Ohio River valley near the town of Golconda, it combines a protected landscape with access to the river. As part of the Illinois state park system, it is chiefly associated with its marina setting. Its importance lies in providing public recreational access to this stretch of the Ohio River while preserving a defined area of shoreline and adjoining land as protected space.
