Spring Valley State Park
Nature
Spring Valley State Park lies in eastern Nevada near the Utah border, beside the sixty-five-acre Eagle Valley Reservoir at the end of Nevada State Route 322, east of Pioche and near Ursine. The reservoir was created in 1965 when Eagle Valley Dam was built on Meadow Valley Wash for agricultural use, and the surrounding land became a state park in 1969. Centered on the reservoir and its Spring Valley setting, the park combines water-based recreation with reminders of the area’s ranching past through camping, fishing, boating, picnic areas, hiking trails, a group-use area, and historic ranch buildings.
