Beeson Covered Bridge, a 1906 single-span Burr Arch covered bridge built by the Frankfort Construction Company, originally crossed Roaring Creek near Marshall in Parke County, Indiana, before being moved in December 1979 to Billie Creek Village near Rockville. Named for the nearby Beeson family rather than the stream, it became part of local travel patterns, and its 1969 closure because of unsafe abutments complicated access to Marshall, Turkey Run High School, and Turkey Run State Park. After a nearby concrete bridge collapsed and two suspected arson fires threatened the span in 1979, the bridge was preserved through relocation and remains part of Parke County’s covered-bridge heritage.
