The Town of Dryden honored those who served their country in the 2nd World War with the Allied Nations for world freedom: C.E. Mead, E.A. Chaffee, E.S. Youmans, R.J. McKeon, C.A. Root, R.H. Hoose, R.W. Martin, C.L. Royce, G. Hutchings, D. Steele, D. Rockefeller, E.C. Hines, and A. Beyeler. The memorial was erected by the Dryden Grange No. 1112 in 1948.
