EAA Aviation Museum
Science & Tech
The EAA Aviation Museum in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, beside Wittman Regional Airport, serves as a year-round center for the Experimental Aircraft Association and is closely connected to the annual AirVenture fly-in and airshow. First envisioned by founder Paul Poberezny in 1958, the museum took shape under Tom Poberezny in the late 1970s, with the current facility opening in 1983, a library added in 1985, and a new Education Center opening in 2022. Its collection of more than 200 aircraft and 20,000 artifacts spans early aviation, military and civilian history, and homebuilt design, preserving aviation while presenting it as an active, evolving culture.
