Cummings Park is a seventy-nine-acre public waterfront park on Long Island Sound in Stamford, Connecticut, centered on Cummings Beach. Once home to a seasonal harbor seal colony, the beach now recalls that past with a white marble seal statue. The park also offers a playfield, four baseball fields, basketball and tennis courts, rest rooms, a seasonal cafe, a winter sledding hill, a public marina, a boat launch, and a fishing pier. Administered by the City of Stamford, it is named for Homer Stille Cummings, a former Stamford mayor and later U.S. Attorney General under Franklin Delano Roosevelt, who long walked this shoreline.
