South Jackson Mountains Wilderness is a federally managed protected wilderness area in Nevada within the Jackson Mountains. Situated south of North Jackson Mountains Wilderness and east of Black Rock Desert Wilderness, it is part of a broader protected landscape extending through the Jackson Mountains and the Black Rock Desert-High Rock Canyon region. Its importance lies in preserving a remote part of northwestern Nevada in a largely undeveloped condition under Bureau of Land Management stewardship.
