Hans or John Nissley, whose birth date is unknown and who died in 1789, was the son of Hans Nissley, an immigrant of 1717. In 1743, John and his wife Mary, daughter of 1727 immigrants Michael and Anna Siegrist of Silver Spring, Pennsylvania, settled by Conoy Creek, and in 1750 they built the home at 561 West Bainbridge Road in Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania. Their six sons eventually each received a farm from their 827-acre tract. This is also the burial site of Michael Kobel, who lived from 1763 to 1823 and was a prominent citizen, innkeeper, and early postmaster of Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania. At least one Ober burial is also known at this site.
