Rasar State Park is a public recreation area on the north bank of the Skagit River in Washington, about eight miles west of Concrete. Managed by the Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission, it spans one hundred eighty acres with four thousand feet of river shoreline. The park grew from a one hundred twenty-acre donation by Daniel Rasar in 1984, followed by transfer to the state in 1986 and the addition of forty acres in 1990. Built from 1993 to 1997 with locally found materials and dedicated on July 12, 1997, it was named for Peter Rasar and now provides quiet recreation, trails, camping, fishing, and wildlife viewing.
