Hayden Peak is a mountain in Utah’s western Uinta Mountains, at the edge of the High Uintas Wilderness within the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest. Located in Summit County on the western side of the range, it bears the name of Ferdinand Hayden, an American geologist known for surveying expeditions in the Rocky Mountains in the late 19th century. Its slopes and surrounding alpine landscape support mountain goats, pika, and many wildflowers, showing the rugged terrain and ecological richness that characterize the High Uintas.
