Pisgah State Park is New Hampshire’s largest state park, encompassing 13,300 acres across Winchester, Chesterfield, and Hinsdale in the state’s southwest. North of the Ashuelot River, it includes an entire watershed as well as seven ponds, four highland ridges, extensive wetlands, and a 20-acre tract of old-growth forest, making it one of the state’s most ecologically varied park landscapes. Its elevation ranges from about 390 feet along the river to 1,381 feet at Hubbard Hill. The park’s largest water body is the 120-acre Pisgah Reservoir, or Round Pond, and it offers year-round public recreation with six free access trailheads.
