Point Robinson Light, on the eastern tip of Maury Island in Washington, evolved from an 1884 fog-signal station into a long-serving lighthouse and navigational center on Puget Sound. A light was added in 1887 and improved in 1894, while the present 1915 lighthouse, built as a twin of Alki Point Lighthouse, became known for its distinctive flash pattern. Automated in 1978, it retained its original Fresnel lens until a plastic beacon was installed in 2008. The site later gained radar and GPS roles, and local preservation efforts in the early 1990s helped secure its future as a 10-acre park with restored historic structures.
