The Alabama Music Hall of Fame in Tuscumbia is a music history museum honoring Alabamians who significantly influenced the music industry, including performers, songwriters, and people in management and publishing. First conceived by the Muscle Shoals Music Association in the early 1980s, it was established by the Alabama Music Hall of Fame Board, which oversaw construction of a 12,500-square-foot facility after a statewide referendum in 1987. Through exhibitions, induction into its roster, and bronze stars on its Walk of Fame, it preserves and teaches the state’s musical legacy. Plans for expansion reflected broader ambitions for performance, recording, and research.
