Edward A. Connell Heritage Park was dedicated on May 19, 1984, as a tribute to Edward A. Connell's service as Superintendent of Parks from 1952 to 1974. A writer, orator, philosopher, statesman, teacher, and friend, he brought beauty to Stamford's parks and everlasting pleasure to Stamford's people.
