Dickinson Hill Fire Tower in Grafton, New York, is a historic forest fire lookout built in 1924 by the Aermotor Corporation. The 60-foot steel-frame tower was prefabricated for fire observation, and the site still includes a concrete water tank and the foundation of the observer’s cabin, remnants of the station that supported its work. It has not been staffed since 1972 and is the last remaining fire tower in Rensselaer County. Its significance was formally recognized in 2011 when it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
