Bedell Bridge State Park is a 74-acre park in Haverhill, New Hampshire, along the Connecticut River, known for both recreation and the remains of an important interstate crossing. Open year-round, it offers walking, picnicking, fishing, non-motorized boating, and access to a Fish and Game boat launch. The park occupies the former site of the Bedell Covered Bridge, which once connected Haverhill with Newbury, Vermont. Before wind destroyed the bridge in 1979, it was the second-longest covered bridge in the United States. Its surviving stone piers still rise from the river, preserving the historic outline and character of that former link between the two states.
