The Little Miami Scenic Trail is a 78.1-mile paved rail trail in southwestern Ohio that follows much of the Little Miami River through a long car-free corridor. Created from the abandoned Little Miami Railroad right-of-way, it became part of Little Miami State Park and was developed in stages from the early 1980s through 2006. The trail links river towns, parkland, and other major paths from Springfield south toward Cincinnati, serving walkers, cyclists, and some horseback riders. As one of the longest paved trails in the United States, it has become the backbone of a roughly 330-mile regional network and a lasting piece of transportation and community infrastructure.
