Spring Valley preserves 135 acres as a living museum, nature study area, wildlife sanctuary, and nineteenth century farm. Much of the land is being restored to represent northern Illinois as it looked more than 100 years ago, with prairies, woods, wetlands, and farms forming a quiet and diverse landscape.
