The Tower Building was one of many commercial structures erected along new U.S. Route 66 in the early 1930s. Designed by Pampa architect J.C. Berry and built by local entrepreneur J.M. Tindall in 1936, it is an excellent example of a 1930s gas station and diner, with many Art Deco elements including geometric detailing, curvilinear massing, and neon highlights.
