History
6
Around October 18, 1850, Oscar Roos, Carl Fernstrom, and August Sansahl from Vestergötland, Sweden, settled on this homestead and built the first Swedish log house in Minnesota. Their countrymen later raised a stone in their memory, and it was rededicated on June 24, 1925, in memory of the old pioneers.
