Reed Island State Park is a public recreation area on the Columbia River in Washington, about three miles east of Washougal. The park occupies Reed Island, a 510-acre island accessible only by boat, which gives it an unusually secluded setting near lower Columbia communities. In 1954, the family of Secretary of State Sam Reed donated the island to the state, establishing it as a state park. It is now part of the Columbia River Water Trail and serves boaters and paddlers with primitive camping and picnicking areas instead of developed facilities.
