Curry Canyon lies on the eastern edge of Emery County, Utah, along the west bank of the Green River. Its mouth opens from Gray Canyon, and the land there rises toward Big Horn Mountain. A side canyon of Gray Canyon, it extends southwest from the larger canyon on the north side of Big Horn Mountain. The canyon’s name preserves a local story that it was named for a family of criminals who lived and died near that place.
