Thomas R. Wiseman lived from 1925 to 1979 and served as Chief Maintenance Engineer for the State Highway System from 1976 to 1979. His 30 year career with the Michigan Department of Transportation from 1949 to 1979 included 17 years as District Maintenance Engineer and Senior District Engineer for the northern Lower Peninsula, and he exemplified the skilled and dedicated engineers who administer Michigan’s outstanding highway system.
