Near Sabina in southwestern Ohio, this small archaeological district includes the Beam Farm Mound and two related sites on about two acres above Anderson Fork. The remains preserve evidence from the Woodland period and contain artifacts associated with the Adena culture and the Hopewell tradition, both of which lived in this part of Ohio. Because both groups built mounds and occupied the area, the mound's builders cannot be identified with certainty. Likely raised sometime between 800 B.C. and A.D. 500, the mound is especially significant because it has remained intact and unexcavated, preserving its archaeological value.
