Wadestown Covered Bridge was a single-lane wooden covered bridge in Wadestown, West Virginia, crossing the Virginia, later West Virginia, branch of Dunkard Creek. Still standing in 1941 when the Work Projects Administration surveyed the state, it remained in use into the 1950s. Like many rural covered bridges, it was both a practical road crossing and a local landmark. Its surviving setting links it to West Virginia’s historic covered bridges and to an earlier transportation landscape in which narrow wooden spans connected small communities across creeks and rivers.
