Church of Our Merciful Saviour is an example of rural Gothic architecture. The parish was formed in 1883, and the site was given in 1898. The church was built in 1909 under the leadership of Mr. and Mrs. Woodson Nash. It was consecrated on May 2, 1909, by The Rt. Rev. A. C. Garrett, first bishop of the Missionary District of Northern Texas. The church was first organized in 1870 under the name Holy Apostles Church.
