Three Ridges Wilderness is a protected mountain area in Virginia in the Glenwood/Pedlar Ranger District of the George Washington and Jefferson National Forests. East of the Blue Ridge Parkway, it spans 4,702 acres between the Tye River and Wintergreen Ski Resort, with Virginia State Route 56 separating it from Priest Wilderness. Its terrain climbs steeply from about 1,000 feet at the river to 3,970 feet atop Three Ridges Mountain, creating long ascents and ridge walks. Recreation centers on its trails, especially about ten miles of the Appalachian Trail and the three-mile Mau-Har Trail, which together form a highly regarded loop, with two shelters along the route.
