Blackhawk Park is a riverside recreation area in Vernon County, Wisconsin, in the Driftless Area along the Mississippi River. Set among steep limestone bluffs and broad river valleys, it reflects the character of the Upper Mississippi landscape. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers owns and manages the park within Pool 9 of the Mississippi, and the surrounding Upper Mississippi River National Wildlife and Fish Refuge gives it a strong wildlife focus. Birdwatching is especially important there, as many species live in or migrate through this stretch of river, while hiking trails, camping, and boat launches support exploration of both the river and nearby bluff country.
