Pyramid Mountain is a prominent summit above the north shore of Lake Crescent in the Olympic Mountains of northwestern Washington, long visible from places such as Barnes Point and Lake Crescent Lodge. Reached by trail from the Spruce Railroad Trail, it offers wide views that can extend to Mount Baker on clear days. Once called Sugarloaf Mountain, it received its present name in 1928. Its summit holds a restored Aircraft Warning Service lookout from World War II, linking the peak to wartime home-front observation. It also serves as an excellent vantage point for seeing the landslide, valley, and glacially shaped terrain that reveal the region’s geological history.
