Aurora Peak is the highest point on Aurora Ridge in Olympic National Park, Washington. The ridge divides two contrasting landscapes, rising steeply above Lake Crescent on the north and overlooking the Sol Duc River valley to the south. Aurora Ridge also includes summits such as Sourdough Mountain and Lizard Head Peak, while farther east the same high ground is called Happy Lake Ridge. The Aurora Ridge Trail follows the crest and offers expansive views of the surrounding country. Stretching 15.1 miles from about 1,300 feet to 4,800 feet, the route is rated moderate to difficult, and some sections can be challenging to follow.
