Atlantic County Park at Estell Manor is the first stop on the fifty-mile Great Egg Harbor River Romp Birding and Wildlife Trail. The park’s Warren E. Fox Nature Center serves as a starting point for outdoor exploration and wildlife viewing, with trails to walk, exhibits to see, and staff available to assist visitors. Brochures for all three Birding and Wildlife Trails are available there, including detailed directions for this trail and eleven other driving routes. Wildlife highlighted for the Great Egg Harbor River Romp Trail includes the northern harrier, diamondback terrapin hatchling, Pine Barrens treefrog, and red-spotted purple butterfly.
