Voorhees State Park is a 1,400-acre state park in Lebanon Township, New Jersey, created after former governor Foster M. Voorhees gave his farm to the state in 1929 and enlarged through later land acquisitions. Civilian Conservation Corps crews shaped much of the park in the 1930s by planting trees and building shelters and trails. Known especially for camping, it offers tent and trailer sites, group camps, and rustic shelters open year-round. The park also includes the Paul Robinson Observatory, built in 1965 by the New Jersey Astronomical Association, whose telescope and public programs give the park a distinctive astronomy role alongside its outdoor recreation.
