Joseph A. Magnus, grandfather of Julian A. Magnus Jr., built the gazebo in 1913 and donated it to the Oden Community Association in 1934, with perpetual maintenance funding provided by his descendants. After multiple changes of ownership, Mrs. Margaret Warren McTaggert purchased the property in 1984, restored the gazebo after years of deterioration, and donated the gazebo and park property to the Oden Community Association in memory of her late husband, Charles K. Warren. In 2013 the Oden Community Association transferred ownership of Oden Gazebo Park to Littlefield Township, and in 2014 Robert Murdock donated the water and dog fountain in memory of his parents, Duke and Betty Jo Murdock.
