Sir Pelham Grenville Wodehouse was an English-born author, lyricist, and verse poet who created Bertie Wooster, Jeeves, Psmith, Lord Emsworth, Mr. Mulliner, and many other immortal characters. He became an American citizen in 1955 and lived and worked in Remsenburg for the last two decades of his life. He was honored with a British knighthood shortly before his death. His gentle humor and superb mastery of the English language continue to bring joy to readers all over the world.
