Kincaid Lake State Park is a Kentucky state park near Falmouth built around Kincaid Lake, created by impounding Kincaid Creek. The dam was constructed in 1961, and the park opened to the public in 1963. During its early development, especially between 1960 and 1967, it expanded with a beach, bathhouse, boat docks, picnic areas, campsites, and hiking trails, becoming a major recreational destination. Today it has 84 campsites, a gift shop, a nine-hole golf course, and a pool. Its name reflects local history as well: after being renamed Falmouth Lake State Park in 1960, the historic Kincaid name was officially restored in 1969.
