The Lelooska Museum in Ariel, Washington is a living history museum focused on Kwakwaka'wakw and other Indigenous cultures and histories. Operated by the nonprofit Lelooska Foundation, established in 1977, it preserves everyday and ceremonial items including baskets, parfleches, corn husk bags, dolls, cradles, moccasins, pipes, dresses, a 15-foot birchbark canoe, and a replica fur trade store. It also offers living history programs, performances, classes, and demonstrations in woodcarving, Native art, dance, and basket weaving. The museum is named for Don Morse Smith, called Lelooska, an artist known for sculptures and totem poles, whose work appears in New Zealand and at the Oregon Zoo.
