Frankfort's first village hall was built on this site in approximately 1895. In 1938, Eugene Reutiger, a gasoline service station proprietor, purchased the building for $158.00 and moved the two-story wooden structure next to his gas station. At one time, the village hall also housed the volunteer fire department and the jail. The present building was dedicated in 1940.
