Flagler Beach Historical Museum
History
At 207 South Central Avenue in the heart of Flagler Beach, this local and natural history collection traces the story of Flagler Beach and Flagler County within the larger history of Florida. Its exhibits range from prehistoric life and Native American material to colonial plantation artifacts and objects from the town’s growth in the 1920s. Other displays examine World War II encounters with German submarines off the Florida coast, as well as local surfing, severe weather, and regional wildlife. Together these subjects connect mastodons, mammoths, shipwrecked French sailors, Charles Lindbergh, and the families who built the community once called Ocean City.
