Anderson Park District, officially the Anderson Township Park District, serves as the public park system for Anderson Township in the eastern Cincinnati area, about 12 miles from downtown. Operating since 1976, it has expanded into a chain of parks spanning more than 500 acres. The system includes Beech Acres Park, Clear Creek Park, Johnson Hills Park, Juilfs Park, Kellogg Park, Laverty Park, Riverside Park, and Veterans Park. Juilfs Park is the district’s main park, and the parks are open to the public from dawn to dusk.
