Hall Covered Bridge carries Hall Bridge Road over the Saxtons River in southern Rockingham, Vermont, near Saxtons River village. The crossing is a single-span Town lattice truss on stone abutments, built in the familiar Vermont covered-bridge style with vertical siding, diamond-shaped side openings, and a gabled metal roof. A bridge first built here in 1867 by Sanford Granger was one of only three surviving nineteenth-century covered bridges in Rockingham when recognized in 1973, from seventeen once known there. After an overweight truck destroyed it in 1980, Milton S. Graton built the present 1982 replica using traditional methods, preserving the historic character of the crossing.
