Zell Miller, a native son of Georgia’s mountains, exemplified the strong character, integrity, and moral fiber of the people of Appalachia and dedicated his life to aiding his fellow man as a scholar, author, businessman, teacher, champion of developmental highways, legislator, and the longest-serving Lieutenant Governor in Georgia’s history.
