Steliko Lookout
Nature
Steliko Lookout is a historic fire lookout on Steliko Point in Washington's Entiat Mountains, overlooking the Entiat Valley and Ardenvoir. Fire detection there dates to at least 1925, and the current structure was built in 1947 by the United States Forest Service as a standard L-4 cab on a timber tower. Once one of 13 staffed lookouts in the Entiat Ranger District, it is now one of only three survivors. Staffed through the mid-1990s and still used at times for fire detection, it was rehabilitated after 2010 vandalism and entered the Forest Service cabin rental program in 2021, while retaining its historic lookout character and broad views.
