Leavenworth Ski Hill in Leavenworth, Washington, is a small community ski area in the Wenatchee National Forest that blends local winter recreation with a well-preserved historic landscape. Operated by the Leavenworth Winter Sports Club, it includes two downhill ski hills, twenty-six kilometers of cross-country trails, a ski jump, and a tubing hill. Its most prominent feature, the Bakke Hill ski jump, was first built in 1930 and rebuilt in 1957, showing the site’s long role in organized winter sports. Recognized as the Leavenworth Ski Hill Historic District in 2013, the seventeen-acre property also preserves the 1936 Ski Hill Lodge, a men’s restroom from about 1938, and a ticket booth adapted from a 1940 garage.
