In 1854, the Flemington Transportation Co. built the roadbed from Flemington to Lambertville. It became part of the Pennsylvania RR in 1871. The BR&WRR began operations in 1965. Other businesses located on the site included a creamery, lumber yard, mattress factory, and feed mill.
