In abiding love, gratitude, and honor, the people of Hibbing dedicated this memorial to the men and women who served their country in all wars. It was erected in 1956 A.D. by the Veterans Memorial Fund Committee, with Robert J. Jacobson as chairman and Fran Befera, Robert Genac, Anthony P. Caligiuri, Theodore Landswick, and George M. Fisher serving on the committee.
